I am a 61-year-old professional woman. I work as an educational psychologist and life coach. I have struggled with weight issues most of my adult life which had a major impact on my overall health and mobility. After having both knees replaced three years ago due to severe deterioration of joints, I experienced a sudden increase in my weight – my metabolism slowed down tremendously and no matter what diet or exercise regimen I tried, I would just drop a couple of pounds and my weight would plateau before creeping up again.
In July 2017, I began feeling the impact of carrying over 200 pounds on my 5 foot frame. I was in constant pain all over my body, I couldn’t tie my shoes, I had difficulty walking short distances without feeling out of breath and my energy level had plummeted to the point that I fell asleep driving one day.
When I heard Dr. Heidi Jays from Best Weight describe her dietary regimen on the radio one day, I decided to give it a try. I needed help from a professional, as I was no longer able to take control of my weight issues. I made an appointment to see her at the end of July.
Best Weight’s program was exactly what I had hoped for: healthy daily menus with interchangeable options, natural supplements to support my body’s own biological processes and weekly consults and monitoring. As I began the prescribed regimen, the weight started coming off easily and steadily. I was preparing great healthy meals in specific combinations and amounts. Slowly my metabolism kicked in, my energy levels soared, my stamina increased, the joint and muscle pains started decreasing and my whole outlook on day-to-day life became brighter.
I lost 40 pounds in 3.5 months and continue to lose weight steadily. I no longer have cravings for unhealthy foods, my health issues have resolved. I am never hungry, as I eat 5 to 6 times a day and the meals are packed with nutrition. I can go to almost any restaurant and order exactly what is on my diet without having to compromise or feel deprived. I feel and look (according to family and friends) 10 years younger. Once I reach my goal of 10 more pounds, I plan on staying on Dr. Jafroody’s maintenance monitoring program for a short while to ensure continued success.
Thank you Dr Jays and Best Weight for helping me help myself. Change begins when we recognize our needs and seek help from the right professionals.
